We Have Support for you
LGBT+ Rainbow Friends. Rainbow Friends is a national Befriending Service which provides 121 support for isolated older LGBT+ Members who need support to live and thrive in the community. We will match you to a trained volunteer befriender who can offer regular phone or digital contact using Zoom, Teams, WhatsApp or similar. If you wish, they can also sign post you onto other services. We offer some face to face activities every year which bring members and volunteers together, e.g. at Pride events. also have a Members Forum where you can talk with other members and befrienders and decide on activities or projects which will help you or develop the Service.

Volunteer as a Befriender with Rainbow Friends
We are recruiting new volunteers to train to become a befriender with Rainbow Friends. Following initial training, we will match you with a befriendee or member who may live locally or elsewhere in the UK and we agree a schedule and aims for the Rainbow Friendship. Contact is by phone or other digital means. We offer on going supervision support and training to our befrienders as well as regular on line meetings which befrienders are expected to attend .
Befrienders can also become involved in face to face or on line events or projects which we organise for and with Members, and always based on what Members say they want . This effectively brings our Rainbow community together
