New SC Retrofit, Thermal Insulation Building Services

SC Retrofit Thermal Improvement Building Services

Sustainable Communities is delighted to announce a new Retrofit Insulation Service for homes, offices and community buildings constructed between 1810 and 2000.

We can now insulate your home or office building using modern slim line internal or external wall insulation, plus floor and ceiling and roof cladding,  full draught proofing and door improvements to improve the thermal efficiency of each room. Sam Montoute, our new in-house builder and insulation specialist, said “Depending on your budget, our SC Retrofit insulation service can be undertaken in part of or throughout a building and can be your first or only stage in seeing the benefits of improved thermal efficiency, such as lower energy bills and carbon reduction. It can also increase the value of your property.”

SC Retrofit can also form the basis of further modular building improvements towards net zero: According to your budget you can add any of these now or later. These include replacement double or triple glazed doors and windows units, heat pump(s) and solar panels with or without battery storage. We can advise on what measures would be most effective for your given budget and fully manage installation according to your individual requirements.

Enjoy the benefits of a greener lifestyle!

LGBT+ United Hearts support group

Sustainable Communities ( SC) works with local communities offering support, advice, training and a consultancy service to work towards building a strong, inclusive society.  We focus on supporting disadvantaged and minoritised communities including the LGBT+ groups. As part of this we listen to and co-design services with direct users across sectors and cultures within the LGBTQIA+ community. We also help develop partnerships which build upon the strengths of different partners and community groups.

This has been our approach with RISE MUTUAL CIC (RISE) to support individuals from LGBT+ community members in London experiencing or affected by domestic abuse.

RISE has been funded to provide ‘Respectful Partnerships ‘ in 10 London boroughs, an intervention programme delivered to LGBT+ victims and perpetrators, to address and seek to support issues in their relationships relating to Domestic Abuse. Please see the below link:

In order to support this programme and contact individuals who may be considering the Respectful Partnerships programme, RISE and SC have set up a weekly support group known as ‘ LGBT+ United Hearts’ .

The ‘LGBT+ United Hearts’ support group meets weekly from 5.30 pm to 7.30pm on Tuesdays in community premises in central L
London. The group is free and open to all LGBT+ persons from Greater London.  It will provide group support across cultures with a focus on supporting victims of domestic abuse. Sessions will explore issues related to abuse including, sexuality and gender identity, relationship patterns, community support, substance use and misuse, health and well-being  as well as the cycle of abuse and the power of control dynamics within relationships.  The sessions will be run by trained LGBT+ group workers and the programme will be evaluated.

Self-referrals or referrals from professionals can be made by telephoning 07780748175 during office hours or by e mail to hello@sustainablecommunities.uk

Sustainable communities is dedicated to empowering local communities by offering support, advice, training and consultancy services. Our mission is to foster strong, inclusive communities, driving progress in three key strands of sustainability:

1) enhancing the well-being of local people or maybe residents by addressing poverty, alleviate disadvantage and promoting health and thriving society….

2) cultivating environmental sustainability at grass roots level  of our community.

3) create a brighter, sustainable future for all, where individuals and communities embrace eco-friendly lifestyles, for a healthier planet for generations to come.
